From a personal challenge to an effective solution

Alka® was created from a personal quest for relief from physical discomfort. This journey provided valuable insights into the acid-base concept and acid-base physiology, which Dr. Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg first described in 1962.

The first products immediately became a success

Inspired by these insights, the first Alka® products were developed: Alka® Drops, Alka® Tabs, and Alka® Calcium. Strong customer demand and enthusiasm showed that these alkaline products filled a critical need.

March 2008
The first Alka® seed was planted, inspired by one of the founder's personal health issues. This led to a new perspective on health: the acid-base balance.

October 2009
The first products developed are Alka® Drops, Alka® Tabs Original, and Alka® Tabs Calcium.

August 2010
AlkaVitae® International BV was founded and launched its first products: Alka® Drops, Alka® Tabs Original, and Alka® Tabs Calcium.

September 2013
After a long and extensive development phase, we can finally enjoy a delicious cup of Alka® Tea, our newest product!

June 2014
From now on, you can enjoy relaxing alkaline soaks for your feet, hands, and body with Alka® Bath.

Alka® Scrub makes its debut: a refined formula that combines salt and oil for optimal alkaline skincare.

With the introduction of Alka® Minerals, we enrich our formula by adding organic barley grass and organic wheatgrass in addition to 10 high-quality alkaline minerals.

The next step towards organic: the Alka Greens formula incorporates more organic ingredients.
