Alka® was created from a personal quest for relief from physical discomfort. This journey provided valuable insights into the acid-base concept and acid-base physiology, which Dr. Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg first described in 1962.

The first Alka® seed was planted, inspired by one of the founder's personal health issues. This led to a new perspective on health: the acid-base balance.

October 2009
The first products developed are Alka® Drops, Alka® Tabs Original, and Alka® Tabs Calcium.

August 2010
AlkaVitae® International BV was founded and launched its first products: Alka® Drops, Alka® Tabs Original, and Alka® Tabs Calcium.
