Delivery & Shipping of Alka® products

At Alka®, we provide not only high-quality alkaline products but also fast, climate-neutral delivery. Read on to learn all the details about our shipping and delivery services.

Shipping costs

Our shipping costs are low: you pay only €4.95 for orders up to €24.95. Are you ordering more than €24.95 within the Netherlands? We will then deliver your package free of charge with standard delivery, whether to your home or office. Additional delivery options may incur extra costs.

Shipping your order

Once you place an order, we will ship it as quickly as possible. Would you like to know how the shipping process works and what factors to consider? Then read on. 

Shipping time

If you place your order before 11:59 p.m. Monday through Friday, DHL will ensure that your order is delivered the next day. If you choose to pay in advance, we will ship your order as soon as payment is received.

Do I need to be home to receive my order?

For orders in the Netherlands

Once we have shipped your order, you will receive a shipping confirmation email from us with information about the delivery method. If your package fits through the mailbox, you do not need to stay home.

The following products fit through the mailbox:

  • Alka® Drops (1-3 items)
  • Alka® pH-Caps Original, Calcium, and Magnesium (1-3 items)
  • Alka® pH Test Strips

Mailbox deliveries are also delivered via DHL.

DHL For You Parcel Service

If we send your parcel via DHL For You, you will usually receive it the next day. Deliveries are made from Monday to Saturday, in various time slots.

Would you prefer to choose a DHL ServicePoint? 
You can do this during the ordering process in the webshop. Select a DHL ServicePoint near you.

Flexibility in delivery

If you are not at home when DHL arrives and the package cannot be delivered to your neighbors, they will bring it to a DHL ServicePoint the next day.

You will receive a code from DHL. With this code, you can use the DHL website or app to specify in advance how you want the delivery to be made—for example, to your home, to your neighbors, or directly to a ServicePoint. You can also choose another day or time that suits you better, either during the day or in the evening.

How will I know when my package will be delivered?

We will send you a tracking link via email. Follow the link in the email to view the exact location of your package and its estimated delivery date. 

How long do I have to pick up my package?

DHL ServicePoint keeps your package for a maximum of 7 days. If you do not pick up the package, you will receive a reminder after three days. After one week, the package will be returned to Alka.

What about delivery to Belgium?

All Belgian orders are shipped via DHL Parcel Service. This allows us to guarantee that your order will arrive the next day in almost all cases. 

What about shipping abroad?

For international shipments, you can use international track and trace. Track and trace is not available for letterbox parcels sent abroad. DHL GoGreen will send you an email or text message as soon as the parcel has been delivered.

Climate-neutral shipping via DHL Parcel

Alka packages are shipped climate neutrally via DHL Parcel. DHL is working hard to reduce CO2 emissions, for example, by building sustainably, running large vehicles on HVO100 diesel, and continuously expanding its electric vehicle fleet.

By 2025, DHL will even deliver the last few kilometers to consumers completely emission-free. The ultimate goal: by 2050, DHL aims to reduce global emissions to zero. We compensate for the CO2 we still emit together. DHL pays part of the compensation costs, but so does Alka®.

DHL invests the proceeds in certified Gold Standard projects in developing countries. These include investing in large-scale reforestation projects, restoring essential ecosystems, and promoting biodiversity.

In addition, DHL is the only carrier to go the extra mile. It offsets shipments within the Benelux, also via Land Life Company.
